Business & Climate Change: A conference held in conjunction with World Environment Day 2007.
World Environment Day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972 to mark the opening of the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment. It was also in the same year that the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) was created.
Since then, World Environment Day is commemorated each year on 5 June by governments, organisations and individuals all over the world.
To celebrate World Environment Day 2007, TUV SUD PSB Cert is pleased to be working with ACCA and other strategic partners, such as CSR Asia and Singapore Compact, to organise this Business & Climate Change a conference that will address the business issues behind climate change on 5 th June 2007 at the Sheraton Towers Hotel Singapore, the conference was graced by the Guest-of-Honour, Dr Amy Khor, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry for the Environment & Water Resources. And Mr Wu Tek Ming, Senior Vice President of TUV SUD PSB Cert played the role of moderator for the conference and Mr Bhuvan, the Product Manger for EHS, as one of the speakers in the conference, with a talking point, “Environmental Management Systems – Shaping a Sustainable Business Environment”.
